Engagements

San Luis Obispo Engagement

I met a terrific group of people at Michelle and Nick’s wedding in Big Sur (blog post coming soon). Two of whom are these two: Pearl and Chris. Both are incredibly easy to get along with (and had the same joyful exuberance coming out that I saw in Michelle and Nick during their engagement shoot). Even though that coastal layer invaded our photos, Pearl and Chris couldn’t stop grinning. It caused me realize that the warmth that comes through in these engagement sessions doesn’t come from the sunshine. Such a joy to photograph you two!san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0002 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0003 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0004 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0005 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0006 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0007 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0008 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0009 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0010 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0011 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0012 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0013 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0014 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0015 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0016 san-luis-obispo-engagement-photos__0017

Los Osos Oaks and Train Station
Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0001

The actually pay me to do this? How cool is that? Lindsee and Mark and I went exploring through the Los Osos Oaks Reserve just a few weeks back and it was unbelievable. (I tend to binge on locations if you haven’t noticed the trend in my blog posts. Los Osos Oaks is a current favorite.) The colors! I do declare—that sage-y green is delectable and I can’t get enough of it. By the way, EVERYTHING is green these days and it’s glorious. I’m soaking it up.

I had such a great time photographing these two. Engagement shoots are always a delight for me because it helps me get acquainted with really cool people, like these two. Sincerely wonderful people.

By the way, I need to fix a mistake I made on here a couple years ago: that’s not “Spanish moss” on those trees, even though that’s what I’ve always called it and have published it as such. That, my friends, is actually a lichen. Error rectified. You may go on about your business now.Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0002 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0003 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0004 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0005 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0006 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0007 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0008 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0009 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0010 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0011 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0012 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0013 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0014 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0015 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0016 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0017 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0018 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0019 Los-Osos-Oaks-San-Luis-Obispo-Engagement-Wedding-photography-_0020

Los Osos Oaks Engagement
Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0001

Megan and Eric and I spend the afternoon in Los Osos Oaks Reserve for their engagement photos, and finished on Bishop’s Peak. Since I got to the Reserve early, I did a little exploring prior to our shoot. The place has so much variety! There are so many little rabbit trails, and I kept finding myself off the trail, wondering where the heck I was, and suspecting every rustling in the bushes was a mountain lion. Thankfully, road noise from Los Osos Valley Road is pretty loud and there’s basically no way to get lost out there. Not sure though. Going out again in a few hours, so maybe I’ll try a bit harder this time. Enjoy!Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0002 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0003 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0004 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0005 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0006 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0007 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0008 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0009 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0010 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0011 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0012 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0013 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0014 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0015 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0016 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0017 Los-Osos-Oaks-Reserve-Bishops-Peak-Engagement_0018
